It was the final meeting of the Cornerstone Photo Club and we decided to get a little fresh air out on a farm. There were great photo opportunities as a small group of us played with the farm animals, took a tractor wagon ride and wandered through the “enchanted forest”. I’ve had a great time teaching and, at the same time, learning from the enthusiastic members of this club. They have all come leaps and bounds since their first day because of their excitement in seeing the world a little differently through the lens of a camera. I am very proud of every one of the members!

Our friends Dawood and Suzen flew in from Hong Kong for a week to have their ceremony with their family and a small group of friends before flying out again tomorrow. It was a gathering of old friends as I have known Dawood since high school and my wife has known Suzen since university. It’s funny how small the world really is.

I had the pleasure of attending and covering Ian and Jenny’s wedding on this year’s “lucky” date of 07-07-07. I have known Ian and Jenny for a little bit of time now, but I don’t think I’ve seen them this happy together before. Their smiles throughout the day were ear-to-ear. Ian’s Scottish roots definitely came out at the wedding as his family showed everyone how to have fun at a wedding with great speeches and a great time of traditional Scottish dance after the reception! Congratulations Ian and Jenny and I wish you many more years of laughter together.

Last night, our friend Irene celebrated her birthday in style as her loving husband set up a private celebrity cooking class for her and a group of close friends. My wife and I were happy to be able to enjoy Massimo’s food for a second time as we had attended his class before. And again, he does not disappoint with his flavourful and colourful cuisine! The class was held at Nella Cucina in midtown Toronto. Check them out when you get a chance.
